Enter now to win one of nine “all season” Butler Bags. The deadline to enter the 14th annual Arizona Big Game Super Raffle is still months away, but Nov. 30 is the last day to be eligible to win the “early bird” prize for November — one of nine “all season” Butler Bags.

For each online order for raffle tickets placed through Nov. 30, a hopeful hunter will receive one chance to win a bag through an incentive drawing conducted by the nonprofit entity, which raises money for wildlife conservation efforts. The more online orders placed, the greater the chances of winning the bag. The incentive drawing will be on or before Dec. 5.

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission annually awards the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle a total of 10 Special Big Game Tags, one for each of the state’s big game species — bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, bison, turkey, bear, javelina and mountain lion.

Raffle tickets then are made available for $5 to $25 each, depending on species, and can be ordered online at:

There is no limit on how many raffle tickets can be ordered. The deadline is 10 p.m. Sunday, July 14. The names of the winners will be drawn at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at department headquarters (Quail Room), 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix.

YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE TICKETS IN THE MAIL. All ticket orders are processed by an independent professional accounting service and tickets are computer generated with your name, address, city, state, zip, and phone number and the species/item that you have purchased a ticket(s) for. These tickets will be placed into separate raffle barrels at the time of the public drawing. If you purchase more than one item they will all be computer generated prior to the drawing. If you purchase an “All Eleven” package, a ticket for the New Mexico Incentive Trophy Elk Hunt will automatically be produced for you as well. Your receipt is your canceled check, credit card statement or online sales receipt.

What is the Raffle For?

These Special Tags are designed to earn money for wildlife and wildlife management in Arizona. Every dollar raised for each species by the raffle of these special big game tags is returned to the Arizona Game and Fish Department and managed by the Arizona Habitat Partnership Committee (AHPC) for that particular species. With input from local habitat partners across the state, as well as the input from the organizations involved with the fundraising, they collectively determine which projects will provide the most benefit to each species represented. Read more about the program in a May 2017 article HERE

Operating costs are covered entirely by sales of the Optics Raffle and New Mexico Elk Hunt tickets as well as contributions from the sponsoring organizations. The management of the raffle is overseen by a volunteer board of directors.

Why are these tags so special?

There are very few limitations on hunting areas and the prices for each ticket have been set to give every hunter in the world an opportunity to win a true hunt of a lifetime. Prices range from $5-25 each.

Arizona offers some of the best trophy opportunities in North America for each of these species. A quick review of both the B&C and P&Y record book will confirm this. (Click for B&Cand P&Y websites). If you are after a truly huge mule deer, elk, antelope, Coues deer, desert bighorn sheep, or buffalo, then Arizona is where you need to be. The only huntable population of Gould’s turkeys in the United States exists in Southern Arizona and can be hunted with this tag.
