Thursday morning Central Arizona College in San Tan Valley hosted a veterans memorial event.
The event drew a crowd of local residents and veterans that came out to honor the upcoming holiday and pay respects to our service men and women.
Keynote speakers were military veterans Terrie and Patrick Frisbie that gave touching, heart felt speeches about their military experiences, memories, and life motivations. The married veterans also shared when they first met and how first impressions aren’t always lasting impressions.
On hand was the Queen Creek High School Choir that started the event and sang the National Anthem.
Kaira Cortez read a poem by Joanne Fuchs, David Garcia read the Presidents’ Veterans Day Proclamation, and Chef Clay Peden and his culinary students provided a great breakfast to all of those in attendance. We look forward to CAC hosting the event next year. It was very well done.
