This week we bring you a selection of potential pets to make part of your family from the kind folks over at Central Arizona Animal Rescue.
Breed: German Shepherd Dog
Pet ID: 13369415
Tyche was turned into the pound because she was too rough with the 2 year old. She has been a total sweetheart for us but we are going to recommend she goes to a new home with only older children. We have no idea how she is with cats or small dogs, unfortunately. She really misses her home. She is already spayed so she can go home right now
Breed: Belgian Malinois
Pet ID: 13264008
Nash was picked up as a stray so we don’t have any information on him. We suspect he was out on the streets for a couple of days because his toenails are worn and broken and his pads are burned. It will take him a week or so before they heal up enough to start working with him. In the mean time, he was neutered and vaccinations are current so he is ready to go home.
Breed: Pointer/Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Pet ID: 13132270
Thor was picked up as a stray with his brother. They were both kinda scared at first but his brother turn around and was really happy with people in a short time and he was adopted. Thor, on the other hand, is still nervous around people. He is great with other dogs so he will do best in a home with another dog as a companion while he learns that people are not to be nervous about. Thor is already fixed, current on his vaccinations and has been microchipped so he is ready to go to his new home now.
Breed: German Shepherd Dog/Husky Mix
Pet ID: 9999388
Kodiak was picked up as a stray and had to have his collar surgically removed. When we got him from the pound he was a little unsure of our intentions, but as time has passed Kodiak has opened up and he just keeps getting better! He will jump around with excitement as you enter his cage and will demand that you either play ball or spray him with the hose!
Breed: Pointer Mix
Pet ID: 12146912
Ginger came to us a while ago and has not had much luck finding a home. She came in with a sister and her mother, her sister found a home and we still have her mom, Princess. We are not sure what she is a mix of, they had pointer mix on the paperwork but the pups are tricolored so they might have some hound in their background but it is anybody’s guess. Ginger is leash trained and gets along very well with other dogs but she has not been house trained yet. She loves to play with the water hose and very good at getting a bath. She has never been around small children and will certainly chase cats if they run from her.
