Ellsworth Elementary Video Club toured ABC15 on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The video club consists of 17 students and is facilitated by Ms. Lora Rael the librarian and Mrs. Battaglia, technology teacher.

Mr. Telles, a photojournalist, took students to the set of Sonoran Living Live where they were able to meet the two hosts and ask questions on what it takes to prepare for a career in newscasting. Students had a chance to see all the lighting, cameras and technology, and talk with the staff behind the scenes on what it takes to bring the news to life for the viewers. Ellsworth students were at the news desk when breaking news came in and the helicopter was dispatched to the scene.

They met Iris Hermasillo the meteorologist who took them to the green screen, where they saw themselves on the television in the weather forecast as you see it on TV.

After the Humane Society appeared on the 11:00 a.m. news, students were given the opportunity to meet and visit with the pet of the day.

Thank you ABC15 Ellsworth students had a wonderful time.
