About the Position:
Reporting to Johnson Utilities in San Tan Valley, AZ, this individual serves as a Water Foreman, performing plant operations duties including checking, troubleshooting and improving water production facilities.

The Water Operator Foreman will promote associate development by assisting operations staff with training seminars including safety, preventative maintenance and system operations. Receives job assignments through work orders and verbal instructions from Plant Operations Supervisor and is expected to carry projects through to completion, resolving most problems independently. Participates by a method of hands-on work, prioritizes work and decides what equipment and materials are needed to accomplish work assignments. Monitors work-in-progress to ensure timely completion. Inspects project upon completion to verify that all aspects of the job have been performed properly. Reads and interprets water facility plans. Contacts vendors and contractors to coordinate repair/modification projects. Completes purchase requisitions, maintenance records and other simple reports. Requires overseeing equipment check sheets. Performs other work as required. Knowledge of all aspects of water system operations. Working knowledge of water pumping and production facilities and water distribution system. Working knowledge in the operation of light, medium and specialty utility repair equipment. Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to communicate operational and personnel problems to supervisor in a timely manner. Ability to read and interpret gauges, recording devices and general plant instrumentation. Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records. Ability to be at work every day and on time. Ability to perform heavy maneuvers. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and to climb up and down stairs. Ability to operate company motor vehicles and equipment. Ability to determine what equipment, tools, manpower and materials will be needed to complete assigned projects; skills in contract/project management. Ability to deal courteously with customers and the general public. Ability to exercise independent judgment in operations duties, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal associates, supervisor/management personnel and vendors. Ability to use both hand tools and powertools. Ability to work outdoors under all weather conditions including summer heat.

Qualifications:
Seven (7) years experience in all phases of water treatment with a minimum of two (2) years experience in RO systems. ADEQ Grade 3 Water Distribution and Grade 3 Water Treatment certifications required. High school diploma or equivalent. Individuals filling this position must operate Company owned vehicles in a safe manner, possess and maintain a valid Arizona Drivers License. About the Position:
Reporting to Johnson Utilities in San Tan Valley, AZ, this individual serves as a Wastewater Plant Foreman, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, efficiency and teamwork. The Foreman will promote associate development by assisting operations staff with training on safety, preventative maintenance and system operations.

This position receives job assignments through work orders and verbal instructions from the Operations Manager and is expected to carry projects through to completion, resolving most problems independently. Participates by a method of hands-on work, prioritizes work and decides what equipment, materials, and personnel resources are needed to accomplish work assignments, monitors work-in-progress to ensure timely completion, and inspects projects upon completion to verify that all aspects of the job have been performed properly; provides leadership and direction to the wastewater plant operations staff. Reads and interprets wastewater facility plans; contacts suppliers, vendors and contractors to coordinate work/projects; completes purchase requisitions, maintenance records and other required reports, requires overseeing equipment check sheets, and performs other work as required.

The successful candidate for the Wastewater Foreman position will possess a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of wastewater treatment system operations; the preferred candidate will have developed and possess a working knowledge of the operation of light, medium and specialty utility repair equipment. Must possess the abilities to communicate operational and personnel problems to supervisor in a timely manner; read and interpret gauges, recording devices and general plant instrumentation; maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records; be at work every day and on time; perform heavy maneuvers,, bend, stoop, and traverse stairs; legally and safely operate company motor vehicles and equipment; determine the equipment, tools, manpower and materials required to complete assigned projects; skills in contract/project management; interact courteously and respectfully with customers (internal and external) and the general public; exercise independent judgment in operational duties, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal associates, supervisors and management personnel and vendors; ability to use hand and power tools, and to work outdoors under all weather conditions including summer heat.

Qualifications:
Current ADEQ Grade 3 or 4 Wastewater Treatment Operator certification with Five (5) years’ experience in all phases of wastewater operations and maintenance; hollow fiber membrane treatment experience is preferred but not required; Must have valid AZ driver’s license with excellent driving record. Must be willing and able to acquire and maintain a valid class “B” Arizona Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazardous materials (HazMat) endorsement. Reporting to Johnson Utilities in San Tan Valley, AZ, this individual serves as a Water Distribution Foreman, Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, efficiency and teamwork. Duties include maintaining the water distribution system, valves and hydrants. Installation of water mains, valves, hydrants and new services. Promote employee development by ensuring training is provided to employees including safety, preventative maintenance and system operations.

The Foreman is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day operation of the water distribution system, hydrants, valves and services. This includes leading the operations staff, tracking and monitoring their performance. Receive job assignments through work orders and verbal instructions from Operations Manager or Operations Supervisor and carry projects through to completion, resolving most problems independently. Reporting to Johnson Utilities in San Tan Valley, AZ, this individual serves as a Wastewater Collection Foreman, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, efficiency and teamwork. Duties include a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of sanitary sewers and lift stations; operates specialized sewer cleaning equipment; utilizes laptop computers to complete work assignments; performs research on wastewater collection assets; and may act as a working field supervisor over a small group of employees. This individual will be responsible for lift stations and collection systems.

This includes leading the operations staff, tracking and monitoring their performance. Receive job assignments through work orders and verbal instructions from Operations Manager or Operations Supervisor and carry projects through to completion, resolving most problems independently. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records. Ability to be at work every day and on time. Ability to perform heavy maneuvers. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and to climb up and down ladders. Ability to operate company motor vehicles and equipment. Ability to determine what equipment, tools, manpower and materials will be needed to complete assigned projects; skills in contract/project management.
