Surviving the Heat

July 20, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

saguaro sunset

Friday – Summertime doesn’t mean that you need to pack away your hiking shoes and hide indoors. Hitting the trail early in the morning is one way to get your workout in before the heat becomes dangerous. There are also other things you can do to prepare and protect yourself, including pre-hydration and wearing proper clothing and accessories. During this indoor discussion, we’ll share tips on how to stay safe during the summer, whether you are hiking outdoors or staying active closer to home. Meet inside the Visitor Center. 9-10am. **This is a Wet n’ Wild program where each family in attendance will have a chance to win a Family 4-pack of tickets to Wet n’ Wild Phoenix (a $170 value!).
