Elisia Escanuela And Lindsay Lopez

By Florence Unified School District

Elisia Escanuela (track) – During the track season, she has done almost everything you can do on the track. She has qualified for state in the 1600, which is the first boy or girl to ever do so. She has also qualified in the 4×400, which helped bring 2 other girls that have not outright qualified and needed Elisia to qualify. She has also broke the school record for the 1600 and the senior record for the 3200 this season. On top of being our top distance runner, she has run top 3 times on our team this season in the 100, 200, 400, and 800. Very few athletes can say they are the fastest sprinter and distance runner. Finally, she is team captain and is only the second athlete in cross country or distance track to sign an LOI, which will be done this week.

Lindsay Lopez (varsity Softball) – Lindsay  finished the season with a .554 batting average, .636 on base percentage, and a 1.000 slugging percentage giving here an OPS of 1.636, which is amazing. But, the stats don’t stop there. She had 16 wins on the season with an ERA of 0.85 and 223 strikeouts in 123.2 innings. Lopez is a senior this year and has a scholarship to ASU.
