Mr. Goodman Addresses Several Topics And Area Related Projects
By The Office Of Supervisor Goodman
The next ACC meeting regarding JU is being held Tuesday, July 24 at the ACC office in Phoenix. Supervisor Goodman strongly encourages residents to attend this meeting. He has stated that this is a critical moment in this process and that it requires your support and engagement for solutions to be reached. More information regarding this meeting can be found at www.azcc.gov.
Additionally, over the last few months, Supervisor Goodman has been meeting with County staff to discuss how other governing entities, developers, and the County can work together to ensure current resident water and sewer needs are met. Discussions have also focused on how future growth will be handled. More details to come on this topic as decisions are finalized.
Hunt Highway construction continues, as crews are currently installing concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, and median curb. The actual paving is scheduled to begin the week of August 6. Over the weekend of August 11-12, the intersection of Hunt Highway and Bella Vista will be completely closed for restoration work. To access businesses, motorists will need to use Gantzel Road and Johnson Ranch Boulevard. In addition, the portion of Hunt Highway between Red Rd. and Johnson Ranch Blvd/Gantzel Road is scheduled to re-open on August 10 to prepare for this closure.

Week in Review
Over the last couple of weeks, Supervisor Goodman attended events across the County and facilitated several key discussions regarding San Tan Valley.
Supervisor Goodman held a developer/landowner meeting with developers in STV and discussed in greater detail the Plan San Tan initiative as well as issues surrounding our community. As we move forward, it was decided that Supervisor Goodman and County staff will meet with developers on a regular basis to discuss the growth and needs of our area. These meetings will occur quarterly.
Supervisor Goodman also had several meetings recently with developers who are inquiring about bringing businesses to our area. The goal to bring more commercial developments to San Tan Valley continues to be a priority.
In the coming weeks, Supervisor Goodman will be meeting with HOA boards individually for communities across San Tan Valley. He will be learning more about the unique needs of each community and build stronger relationships with these groups.
Along with our HOA groups, Supervisor Goodman is meeting with the school boards as we draw nearer to the start of the school year. He will continue to discuss the needs of our students and schools, and determine how we can continue to partner in enhancing our community.
We also continue to work on scheduling town hall meetings for the larger community. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. If there are any issues that do arise please don’t hesitate to contact us, be aware of your neighbors, look out for each other, and inform those who may not see these updates. .STT
