Free, educational activity for San Tan Valley & Pinal County kids

Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids and adults can “Touch Outer Space” at the Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum in Coolidge for free.

The museum will have specimens from the moon, Mars, and the asteroid Vesta from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The entire day will feature minerals, meteorites, fossils, and lapidary material with geology experts on hand to answer questions. Additionally, attendees can learn about fluorescent minerals, Arizona minerals, and Arizona geology. Kids can also experience a treasure hunt and fossil dig and learn about the dinosaurs.

The Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum is one of the features of the Artisan Village of Coolidge, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, located in Coolidge, Arizona.
