If you are anything like me you still have a lot of shopping to do. Christmas is exactly one week from today, and I might have gotten 2-3 gifts so far. This probably isn’t the best way to do things but well… It’s the way I’ve always done it and I probably always will. After years of experience with this situation I have come up with a few tips that will probably be helpful.
You Can Still Get it Shipped
There still is time to have gifts delivered, especially if you are an amazon prime subscriber. You just have to make sure you do it NOW! A lot of other online retailers have guaranteed by Christmas shipping right now as well, just pay attention when checking out.
Order Online and Pick it up at the Store
This is one of my all time favorites, I am not a fan of stores, I am more of an online type of shopper. When it comes to last minute shopping you can order almost everything online and pick it up at your local store. This way you can still get what you wanted, buy it from home, and be in and out of the store quickly.
If you are forced to go to a store do it early. I always suggest going to Walmart as early or late in the day as possible, with Walmart being open 24 hours you can get your shopping done at 1 AM if you want too. For other stores try and get there as soon as they open to avoid the crowds.
Check out the Deals
As the calendar inches closer to Christmas Day retailers are competing for your business and trying to clear inventory before the big day. Check the websites of local stores for the best deal on the item you are after, and you are sure to find some savings as the day creeps closer.
If you are in a real pinch just go for a gift card, they may not be the most personal gift but they are quick, easy, and you are guaranteed that the recipient will buy something they like and want. One more great thing about gift cards this time of year is that sometimes you can get deals on them too! It is not uncommon to find $50 gift cards for $40 at certain places.
Once you are finished you can relax for the next 11 months and three weeks!
