The Arizona Game and Fish Department has launched a new series of wildlife-related webinars designed specifically for teachers. These are a great way to quickly learn about a topic while also getting some ideas to bring back to your classroom. Webinars typically last about an hour and you earn a certificate for your participation. Check out the information below on a couple of these upcoming programs.

 Monday, October 21 @ 7pm:  AZGFD Reading Resources –
Nonfiction text reading comprehension is an important skill for our students to master. Join educators from the AZ Game and Fish Department as we highlight some of the new resources available to help you bring wildlife-focused reading into your classroom. Content is geared toward all grade levels.

Wednesday, November 20 @ 7pm: The Mysterious Case of the Striped Bass –
Biologists are concerned and they need your help! Striped bass have been introduced to Lake Pleasant. We don’t yet know if they are outcompeting other fish for valuable resources. Can you examine the evidence to help determine the impact of these nonnative fish? Content is geared toward upper elementary and above.
