SAN TAN VALLEY—Michael “Big Mike” Hernandez, entrepreneur and conservative LD16 State Senate candidate, today received the endorsement of the Arizona Police Association, which represents over 13,000 law enforcement officers throughout the state. Hernandez, an outsider committed to the rule of law and supporting first responders, has now been endorsed by the APA and the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona.

“The Arizona Police Association represents the thousands of law enforcement officers who protect our families

and communities, and I am thrilled to have their support,” said Hernandez. “We need a State Senator in LD16 that works with our first responders to enact smart policies and get them the resources they need to do their jobs. Public safety will be one of my biggest priorities as our community continues to grow, and I am excited to get to work with the APA starting next session.”

Hernandez, a resident of San Tan Valley, is a strong conservative focused on public safety, securing the state’s southern border, protecting the 2nd Amendment rights of Arizonans and reducing the size and scope of state government. Legislative District 16 covers parts of Mesa, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Gold Canyon and Queen Creek.

Mike Hernandez is originally from San Antonio, Texas and is the youngest of four children. His father is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer that served bravely in both the Korea and Vietnam conflicts.

His early career was spent in retail sales, where he earned several awards for his achievements. Continuing in retail, Mike moved into retail management where his passion for training and development led to a very successful career with two different Fortune 100 companies. During that time, he mentored several other successful managers and established a strong commitment to helping others.
