Job Information:

Teaching one section of Art History at our Signal Peak Campus. The course will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4:15 pm. This course is an introduction and survey of the history, vocabulary, materials and processes of art with an emphasis on art from the Prehistoric Era through 1300 C.E.

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield or
  • Master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline or subfield or
  • In disciplines where a master’s degree is not offered and the doctorate is the terminal degree, or where the candidate has opted not to receive a master’s degree during the course of study for the doctorate degree as a terminal degree, or where all but the dissertations (ABD) of a doctorate degree has been obtained, 24 graduate semester hours in the discipline or subfield are required.Be current in subject area and possess the ability to develop, prepare, and evaluate instructional materials that promote learning, along with the willingness to utilize alternative teaching techniques and instructional technology where appropriate.

Provide educational and administrative leadership to the Nursing Education division.

Provide educational and administrative leadership to the Nursing Education division and disseminate pertinent information to all division members. Develop and manage division budgets.  Oversee the recruitment and admission of students, supervise staff, implement college policies and procedures, address students’ concerns, and communicate division needs to the college’s administration.  Schedule classes, instructors, and facilities to effectively meet the needs of students and best utilize the resources of the institution for the academic year including the summer, both day and evening.

Formulate, develop, and revise nursing curriculum in conjunction with nursing faculty.  Assist and coordinate with faculty to develop course outlines including learning outcomes, syllabi, and textbooks.

Participate in the selection, orientation, evaluation, development, supervision, and/or continued employment of faculty and staff members, both full and part-time, on and off campus, including clinical settings.

Inform division staff on college and departmental procedures and regulations including certification of attendance, purchasing, inventory, accreditation and transfer requirements and safety requirements.

Responsible for teaching courses in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. **Seeking to fill an online Pharmacy Calculations class (PHT-150).

 Responsibilities Teaching / Preparation / Evaluation:

Teach assigned classes in accordance with college policy and in a variety of potential modalities (e.g., face-to-face, online, hybrid, Interactive Television (iTv), Weekend College, accelerated, evening or late start classes) on any campus, site or center as directed by division chair or program director.

Provide and present information, content, and context through lecture, laboratory, recitation, seminars and/or other learning venues utilizing a variety of teaching/learning styles as appropriate to the course content.

Employ a variety of assessment tools; evaluate grades and comment on student work in a timely fashion in order to facilitate and ensure student progress throughout the course.

Communicate with students as appropriate. This may include email, online discussions, virtual chats within the Learning Management System, instant messaging (IM), telephone and/or face-to-face consultations to provide frequent feedback. Perform a variety of duties related to maintain the College’s grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. **Seeking to fill two positions at this location.

Responsibilities

  • Clean exterior building grounds (may include walkways and athletic fields) according to established guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Sweep and clean parking lots and checks curbs.
  • Visually inspect grounds for cleanliness and areas in need of repair. Report problems to supervisor. Recommend actions appropriate to deter vandalism and other damage.
  • Perform a variety of grounds-keeping tasks including seeding, maintaining lawns, applying fertilizer, landscaping activities, planting trees, flowers and shrubs, raking leaves, prune and trim trees, mow lawns, and preventive maintenance.  Apply fertilizer or herbicides as directed in accordance to the guidelines on the MSDS sheets.
