Poston Butte AFJROTC held their first “Commissioning” ceremony for five cadets on Wednesday (2/27/18). These cadets were selected to become cadet officers taking a rigorous test and passing it and being leaders in some aspect within the corps. Each cadet is now considered a Cadet/Second Lieutenant. They are leaders within the AFJROTC and will help us lead the unit in the future. Major Loucel gave each cadet a Certificate of Achievement and a copy of the “Commissioning”. The ceremony was very similar to what happens to Second Lieutenants on Active Duty.

Major Loucel and MSGT Melton are very proud of what these five cadets have accomplished in the seven months the unit has been open. This continues to show the caliber of students we have at Poston Butte High School and we are sure there will be many more to follow these fine young people.
