Poston Butte participated in a tri-meet with Marcos De Niza High School and Chandler Prep High School. We haven’t seen Marcos de Niza in four years when they beat us soundly, and have never seen Chandler Prep outside of an invitational.

Here are the scores:

  • Poston Butte – 123
  • Marcos de Niza – 92
  • Chandler Prep – 58

  • Chandler Prep – 119
  • Poston Butte – 83
  • Marcos de Niza – 62

We had yet another meet of phenomenal swims with two more long-standing school records being broken.

Mason Wright broke his second individual record in the 200 IM by 3 1/2 seconds,

Xavier Sansores broke the record for the 100 Breaststroke.

Both, Mason Wright and Xavier Sansores, dropped their times by 3-5 seconds to achieve these swims which is a very difficult thing to do at their level of preparation.

We again had multiple personal records set by many of our swimmers and have to give specific recognition to John-Michael Mathis, Adam Taylor, Jordan Hall, and Kole Hillner for swimming one of the most exciting 4×100 freestyle relays we have seen in a long time.

All three schools were within a half of a body length of each throughout the entire race and had the entire pool deck screaming into a photo finish. We, unfortunately, came up short, but all four boys swam their fastest times of the season and represented us well.
