Utility Night Work on Village Ln and Mountain Vista Blvd near Hunt Hwy
Utility work will take place in a couple of areas on Village Lane and Mountain Vista Boulevard near Hunt Highway starting September 2nd. Work will only be conducted during nighttime hours, but motorists may still experience slight delays. Please drive with caution. The utility work anticipates to last through the middle of the month.
Utility Work Empire Blvd
Utility work will begin at Empire Blvd west of Village lane between Ellsworth Rd and Gary Rd on Thursday, August 29th. Work is expected to take one week and will include a speed reduction. Please use caution while driving through work zones, may want to use an alternate route if possible.
US 60 Pinto Creek Bridge
For those that travel US 60 in the Miami and Superior area the Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin preliminary work on the US 60 Pinto Creek Bridge replacement project, between Miami and Superior, on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Lane restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. while crews remove guardrails, restripe the road near the bridge and place temporary concrete barriers.
Flaggers and pilot cars will be directing traffic. Drivers should plan for delays.
Full closures of US 60 are tentatively scheduled to begin in late September between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The overall project involves constructing a new bridge adjacent to the existing bridge, and then removing the existing bridge. The project is expected to take about two years.
