Local Rescue Looking For Homes
San Tan Animal Rescue does not have a kennel / shelter type of facility. They believe the most effective and successful way to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows them to train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows them to learn about the dog’s personality and character. Ultimately fostering the rescue animals allows them to give potential adopters complete information on the pet’s behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. If you would like to be a foster please let them know. In order to adopt the dogs that are in their group, they hold adoption events every Saturday at the Petsmart in Queen Creek.
Many of San Tan Animal Rescue Puppies and adult dogs are rescued from city animal shelters right before they’re scheduled to be euthanized. Other dogs come to them from people who have found them as a stray or abandoned, and often gravely ill. Unfortunately, there are far more homeless dogs than they can care for, but they do their best to place as many dogs as they can into San Tan Animal Rescue foster homes. For the cases where they are unable to bring a dog into their group they offer families the option to courtesy post their dog on their website.

Dusty is such a sweet girl. She was abandoned by her owners in a house with her mom. They both were left without any food or water. Their caring neighbors took them both in and contacted us to rescue them.

Willie is a very special boy. He was rescued from Maricopa Animal Control about 1 year ago. He lived with a single lady with lots of other dogs. He loves other dogs, but men – NOT so much!! He will need a home who is willing to work with him on his confidence.!!

Wally is a professional snuggle bug. His 6 lbs will fill your heart and lap. It may take a little bit for him to warm up, but once he does he will be your forever friend. All he wants is to be in your lap, laying on his back. Wally loves dogs! I can’t express that enough. He would love to have a brother or sister to call his own. He is a little shy around kids, but if they are gentle and slow with him, he will do great. He is house trained and kennel trained. He is working on sitting but I am sure he will do great with his new family! Wally is the perfect companio
