After what some residents have said has been at least 15 years The San Tan heights HOA has finally formally set a time-line for the pool you have all been promised.

On October 18, 2017 at an open board meeting on the amenities project a few things were figured out. First of all all drawings have been approved. Site plans and re-plat “should be” approved by the end of November, and the contractor is asking for at-risk permits in order to begin grading the property. Once those items have been approved then it will be on to working with the city of Mesa to submit gas line drawings, as well as SRP electricity cabling.

The board also approved a $5.3 Million Guaranteed Maximum Price for the project, which they say they already have funds available for.

There will be a survey going around soon to residents, giving you the ability to decided when the pool and fitness center will be open and closed.

Phase one of this project is set to include:

  • Excavation/Grading
  • Fencing around the perimeter
  • Gated entrances off Occidental Ave and Roberts Road
  • Community Center
  • Pool
  • Parking Lot

The Pool will include:

  • Zero edge play area with bubblers and tumble buckets
  • Seat wall
  • Play, swim and aerobics area
  • Lap lanes

The Community Center will Include:

  • Meeting Room that opens to outdoor Ramada
  • Prep Kitchen
  • Fitness Center
  • Conference Room
  • Reception Area
  • Management Offices

If you have lived in San Tan heights long enough you’ve surely heard the phrase “should be” a few times regarding this project, and some residents still don’t believe that anything will happen this time with one home owner saying “ I will believe it when I see it, this has been talked about for years and we have never seen anything come of the talks.”
