Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants, which marks 40 years in the restaurant business this December, will be celebrating by spreading holiday cheer with a toy drive and holiday specials.

All five Serrano’s locations will be accepting donations of new toys (min. $10 value) to benefit the W. Steven Martin 911 Toy Drive. When a donation is made, customers will receive a voucher for a scoop of free fried ice cream at any Serrano’s location.

The 911 Toy Drive serves law enforcement, fire and public safety officials, and corrections officers who help to identify local families in need. Over the past 34 years, more than 6 million gifts have been distributed to 1 million-plus children through the hands of police, fire and 911 emergency service personnel as part of the 911 Toy Drive.

Spreading Christmas Cheer in Chandler
This year, Serrano’s will once again be selling delicious bean and cheese burros, churros, hot chocolate, coffee and other goodies from a tent in their parking lot during the annual Chandler Parade of Lights and Tumbleweed Tree Lighting ceremony from 4-8 p.m. Sat., Dec. 7. If you’re heading to the parade in downtown Chandler, this is the easiest and yummiest way to feed your crew!

Serrano’s will also be hosting Santa and Mrs. Claus for photos and coloring activities from 5-7:30 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 19, at the Chandler Serrano’s location only. Photos are free and will be emailed to participants. This happens to be a #DeviceFreeDinner night, which means families can also enjoy quality time without electronics and half off all kids’ meals!

Gifts and Treats Galore
Beginning on Black Friday (Nov. 29) and running through New Year’s Eve, Serrano’s will be offering its delicious red beef/pork and green chile tamales by the dozen for $25. Assorted party trays of mini chimis, flautas, chicken and cheese rollups and jalapeno poppers are also available to order in increments of 3, 6 or 9 dozen ($39.99, $75.99, $97.99). Orders for pickup must be placed at least 24 hours in advance.

Customers may also purchase gift cards and get a kickback ($5 for every $50) or the 100th anniversary Serrano’s State Forty Eight t-shirt for $25. Customers who wear the t-shirt to the restaurant receive a free quesadilla with purchase of an entrée.
