By The Office Of Supervisor Goodman
The judge who presided over the JU hearing regarding the appointment of interim management will be making recommendations to the ACC commissioners in mid-July. In the meantime, if you are having any difficulties with your utility services, these will need to be reported to the ACC (www.azcc.gov), ADEQ (www.azdeq.gov), JU, and Pinal County.
Week in Review
Over the last couple of weeks, our office spent time meeting with and discussing questions from our constituents about roadwork, San Tan Park, and other various topics. Supervisor Goodman would like to remind residents that his door is open to anyone that has questions or concerns. If you would like to set up a meeting in person or over the phone, please contact our office at 520-866-8080.
Last week we scheduled ongoing bi-monthly meetings with the various school districts in our area. During the last school year, we had increased communication and collaboration through these meetings. We look forward to enhancing this partnership even further in the upcoming school year to engage with our youth and promote community involvement.
In this week’s board meeting our BOS (Board Of Supervisors) will take the final step in approving the County budget for the 2018/2019 fiscal year. While the tentative budget as a whole was approved at the last board meeting, requests can still be made to reallocate certain funds. Once residual requests have been voted on, the final budget will be set. All residents are able to watch the upcoming board meeting on June 27 at 9:30 am online at www.pinalcountyaz.gov.
This week we will also hold a special Plan San Tan meeting specifically for developers and landowners in District 2. We will be discussing the proposed plans and get developer feedback and input on how we can move forward in creating sustainable growth. We believe that if more groups like this come together and have open discussions, we can partner in overcoming obstacles and influence positive change. We are working to ensure the County website for Plan San Tan is updated with progress in the coming weeks so all residents can stay informed.
Lastly, as we move forward, it is time once again for Community meetings to be held across San Tan Valley. We are working to finalize dates and locations for these meetings and will communicate these details as they are confirmed. Please reach out to our office with topics you would like to see discussed. We are happy to provide information regarding construction, economic growth, utility updates, etc. We will also bring in experts from the various County departments to be available for questions. With requests for specific topics to be covered, please reach out via e-mail:
