The San Tan Valley Master Gardener Group is pleased to host the University of Arizona’s Master Gardener Training classes beginning on Thurs, August 22, 2019, from 9am to noon, and continuing every Thursday, (except Thanksgiving), through December 19, 2019. The 17-week course includes classes on Plant Growth and Development, Soils, Fertilizers and Water, Plant Pathology, Diagnosing Plant Damage, Entomology: Insects and Related Arthropods, Pruning Concepts, Home Gardening, and Pest Management.

Anyone with an interest in gardening in the arid southwest should attend. Master Gardener applicants, professional landscape personnel, nursery staff members, school and government personnel, 4-H volunteers, and all interested home gardeners will find this course helpful.

Classes will be held at the Central Arizona College, San Tan Campus, 3736 E Bella Vista Road, San Tan Valley, AZ, in Building C, Room C-133. The cost of the course per person is $150 which includes a textbook and all handouts.
