Drivers Should Allow Extra Travel Time, Consider Alternate Routes
Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on US 60 (Superstition Freeway) Tuesday through Thursday nights (Aug. 20-22) in areas between I-10 and Loop 101 in Tempe. The restrictions are part of a city of Tempe project to maintain pedestrian bridges over the freeway.
US 60 will be narrowed to two lanes in both directions between Rural Road and Loop 101 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. No work is scheduled on Friday night, Aug. 23.
Drivers should allow extra travel time while the overnight restrictions are in place. Please use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through the project work zones.
Alternate routes include the Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway).
