Sewage Overflow at Oasis at Magic Ranch
Oasis at Magic Ranch residents have been dealing with oder and air quality concerns for months. Now, they are dealing with sewage overflows. As you can see from the video submitted by residents this looks to be an active overflow. San Tan Times is waiting to hear from state agencies to confirm the nature of this problem.
This appears to be another example of an immediate public health and safety concern. Which, as San Tan Times Staff has mentioned in a previous article here, was Johnson Utilities defense throughout the evidentiary hearings. Their ongoing defense against the notion that an interim manager should be implemented was that their was no immediate public health and safety concerns.
This comes after multiple reports of high levels of Hydrogen Sulfide from Waste Water Treatment Plant 11 located near Magic Ranch.
Areas throughout San Tan Valley, and in Florence, have been dealing with water pressure problems for weeks. Residents from Merrill Ranch and Parkside have reached out to San Tan Times to express that they have also been dealing with the same issues as San Tan Valley Residents.
