Roadwork Projects That May Effect Your Weekend Travels

  1. I-10 WB closed between 35th and 67th avenues in west Phoenix for paving as part of the Loop 202 Congressman Ed Pastor Freeway (formerly South Mountain Freeway) interchange project. Both I-17 ramps to I-10 WB at the “Stack” interchange closed. I-10 WB on-ramp at 27th Ave also closed. Expect heavy traffic and delays. Consider alternate routes, including using I-17 NB to Loop 101 WB. I-10 WB drivers also should consider exiting ahead of the closure and using local detour routes including WB McDowell Rd or Van Buren St.
    10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 4)
  2. Loop 202 EB (Santan Freeway) closed at Power Rd in southeast Mesa for pavement improvements. Traffic will detour by using the Loop 202 EB off- and on-ramps at Power Rd. 9 p.m. Saturday – 9 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 3)

  3. Hayden Rd in Scottsdale and 19th Ave in Phoenix closed in both directions at Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) for widening project. Consider alternate routes.
    10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 4)
  4. US 60 EB (Superstition Freeway) narrowed to two lanes (right lanes closed) between Stapley and Val Vista drives for pavement improvements. US 60 EB on-ramps at Gilbert Rd and Stapley Dr closed. Allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while ramps are closed.
    9 p.m. Friday – 9 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 2)
  5. I-17 NB ramps to Loop 101 (both directions) closed overnight for guardrail repair. Consider alternate routes, including Union Hills Dr, Yorkshire Dr/Utopia Rd or Deer Valley Rd, while ramps are closed.
    11 p.m. Sunday – 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 4)
  6. WB Chandler Blvd closed overnight at Loop 101 (Price Freeway) for bridge work as part of widening project. Consider alternate routes, including WB Ray Rd.
    10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 2) 9p.m. Saturday – 6 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 3)
