Phoenix Area Freeway Restrictions:

  1. I-10 EB closed between 67th and 51st avenues for bridge work at the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange. I-10 EB on-ramps at 91st, 83rd, 79th and 75th avenues also closed. I-10 EB access road and McDowell Rd or Van Buren St are primary detour routes. I-10 EB drivers should also consider exiting ahead of the closure and using other EB routes. 9 p.m. Friday – 3 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 10)
  2. Loop 101 EB closed between I-17 and Seventh St in north Phoenix for placement of temporary barrier and lane-stripe adjustments as part of new widening project. Both I-17 ramps to Loop 101 EB closed. Loop 101 EB on-ramp at 27th Ave also closed. Loop 101 EB traffic can exit at27th Ave and detour along Beardsley frontage road. Expect heavy traffic. To limit delay consider other alternate routes, including EB Bell Rd, Union Hills Dr or Deer Valley Rd. 10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 11)
  3. Pecos Rd closed in both directions between17th Ave and 24th St in the Ahwatukee area for work to set up a traffic shift as part of Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) construction. Consider using Chandler Blvd as an alternate route. 10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 11). Note: Pecos Rd traffic between 17th Ave and area west of Desert Foothills Pkwy will be moved to temporary alignment on Loop 202 pavement by 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 11)
  4. Grand Avenue (US 60) intersection with 75th Ave closed overnight for traffic signal maintenance. Consider using 67th or 83rd avenues for north-south travel and Northern or Peoria avenues for east-west travel. Olive Avenue overpass at Grand Avenue will remain open. 9 p.m. Saturday – 6 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 10)

East Valley/Pinal County Advisory:

US 60 (Superstition Freeway) will have heavier weekend traffic at times in the Apache Junction and Gold Canyon areas while the renaissance festival is underway. Please allow extra travel time and be prepared for slow traffic. Use caution, especially near festival parking lot access points. Weekends through March 31 (including Presidents Day)
